Mission
Our mission is to work closely with communities, Ministry of Health and other relevant partners to: Sensitise, identify risks, implement relevant measures and develop appropriate and effective ways to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity We would facilitate communities to access quality skilled maternity care. Support the provision of quality skilled care. Every year ‘Join Hands 2 Save A Baby’ will conduct maternity tours across the country and spend time with women, nurses and doctors in the labour wards. The tour helps us to connect, identify and understand the issues the patients contend with and the challenges the healthcare professionals face in their roles on a daily basis. Where possible we would offer our help and support to improve the quality standards of care or facilities, depending on what measures are needed. In a situation where we can’t provide immediate or direct support we would signpost and work with service providers and partners to ensure golds are achieved in improving quality standards of care across the maternity units.
